Hexagone
The Hexagone is a prestigious building located in Port-au-Prince. The nine-storey building is the Haitian capital’s tallest. Its tenants include the European Union Delegation (which occupies three floors), the Agence France-Presse news agency and the embassies of Argentina and Japan. The building’s owner, Didier Rossard, also uses the Hexagone as the headquarters of his wine and spirits import company. During the devastating earthquake that shook Haiti in 2010, many buildings in the Petionville suburb were destroyed. The Hexagone, however, suffered very little damage. It must be specified that this building was built to meet strict earthquake resistance standards.
